A. Since 1978, we have served over 100 jurisdictions in California and Oregon. Our vast experience incorporates plan review and inspection services for tens of thousands of structures. Our track record includes extensive experience with many of the counties, cities, and towns in Northern California.
Q. What credentials does your staff bring to these projects?
A. We have a full-time credentialed staff of licensed architects, engineers, building officials, certified plans examiners and certified building inspectors trained in the administration and enforcement of building codes. The staff is active with AIA, CALBO, CBOAC, ICC, NFPA, IAPMC, and SEAONC.
Q. What kind of plan review capabilities does the Phillips Group offer?
A. The Phillips Group has provided comprehensive plan review services to over 100 public agencies in California and Oregon since 1978. During this time, we have reviewed tens of thousands of plans, bringing a level of skill and technical expertise to the review process that meets the highest standards of professional service. All of the plan reviews performed by our staff are completed in a timely manner, in accordance with the jurisdictions designated schedule, by licensed architects, engineers, and ICBO Certified Plans Examiners.
Q. What services does the Phillips Group offer in building inspection?
A. We provide inspections of single family residences, multi-family residences, and commercial and institutional facilities. We provide regular inspections of structures during construction for compliance with all of the applicable adopted building regulations, as directed by the Chief Building Inspector. We also monitor construction for compliance with design guidelines. All of our inspections are completed by ICBO Certified Building Inspectors.
Q. Do you offer building department administration services?
A. We provide turnkey services to public jurisdictions that want to outsource all or part of their building department administration. We offer an experienced, qualified team that is skilled in all phases of building department operations, including plan review, inspection, public process, counter and support staffing, and the code development system. As part of the services, we can calculate and collect fees, issue permits, provide and maintain a data base, issue red tags and stop work notices, and prepare all public information materials related to the building departments.
