Professionalism of The Phillips Group Staff

Our full-time credentialed staff of licensed architects and engineers, building officials, certified plans examiners and certified building officials meets the highest professional standards. The staff is active with a number of professional organizations, including AIA, CALBO (California Building Officials) and SEAONC (Structural Engineers Association of Northern California), CBOAC (County Building Office Association of California), REICBO, NFPA, ICC and IAPMO.

Staff Training

Continuing education and cross-training are a vital component of our organization. Members of our staff have instructed at the college level, and are actively involved with the Education Committees of the Redwood Empire American Institute of Architects (AIA), Redwood Empire International Conference of Building Officials (REICBO) and the North Coast Builders Exchange.

Our technical staff regularly attends applicable seminars and workshops, in addition to our in-house training. Certification of staff in all applicable categories is another method of training. The Phillips Group believes that our commitment to training and continuing education are unmatched. It is our intent to ensure that staff continues to enhance their knowledge as the industry evolves and incorporates new ideas and technologies.

Code Updates and Code Changes

The Phillips Group provides ongoing dissemination of information regarding code changes and policy changes. Communication of code updates and code changes to the professional design community is an important part of maintaining good relationships with our clients, as well as with members of the building industry. Equally important is providing continuing education and communication to the public at large, especially for those who may be engaging in a building or renovation project now or in the future.
